The Five Symbols of the Veterans’ Monument
First: Each monolith represents a significant military conflict within
our nation’s history that lasted for a year or more.
Second: The different sizes in the monoliths represent the growth and
survival of our nation through the sacrifice of those who served.
Third: The circular pattern of the monoliths represents the military support
sent around the world in defense of our allies and those countries in need.
Fourth: The bronze “Battle Cross” is in honor of those who served and
gave their life in the defense of the United States and others.
Fifth: Our Flag placed in the middle represents
the United States of America defended by those the monoliths represent.
