Dogs and Puppies: over 25 lbs. $50 | under 25 lbs. $25
Cats and Kittens: cats $25 | kittens $15

Wantage Township Animal Control Notices:

Licenses All dogs kept at a Wantage Township property and have reached seven months of age, or have their permanent teeth, are required to be licensed. Licenses are due every January. Owners of a dog found to be unlicensed after February 1st shall be required to pay a late fee. Additionally, the person harboring the dog may be subject to a fine for failure to obtain a dog license. Owners of new dogs must obtain a license for their dog within ten days of when their dog reaches licensing age. If a dog has a valid license from another NJ municipality, a Wantage Dog License may be obtained at no cost.

License forms are available at the municipal building or online.
Forms may be completed online, printed, and mailed with:

     1) the appropriate fee
     2) a stamped, self addressed envelope
     3) proof of rabies vaccination
     4) proof of spay/neuter

FREE RABIES CLINIC for Dogs and Cats

April 4 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the municipal garage. Please bring proof of prior rabies shot.
Dogs must be on a leash, cats in a carrier. All animals must be accompanied by an adult.
