Wantage Township Recycling Information
Residents are responsible for the disposal of their own recyclables. There is no municipal pickup.

Residents may dispose of their recyclables at the County Landfill located on Route 94 in Lafayette.The SCUMA facility in Lafayette offers FREE recycling. The recycling center hours are Monday through Saturday 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. For specifics on what material the facility accepts and other information please visit their website at www.scmua.org.

Residents may contract with private garbage pickup providers for the recyclables removal. There is usually an additional fee for this service, added to the regular trash pickup charge.

FREE RECYCLING SERVICES OF THE SCMUA:

HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE DAYS:
are usually held on a Saturday in June and November. Check with the SCMUA for dates.
Dispose of lead & oil base paints, stains, thinners, pool chemicals, mercury, lubricants, chlorine, driveway sealer, fluorescent bulbs, household batteries and more. Limits:100 lbs dry, 10 gal liquid waste, 25 fluorescent bulbs per vehicle Scale charge for larger quantities

ELECTRONIC WASTE RECYCLING DAYS:
are usually held on a Saturday in March, May, July, and Oct. Check with the SCMUA for dates. E-Waste examples include: computers, printers, cell phones, televisions, VCR’s, DVD & CD’s, fax & copiers, radio & stereos, etc. Limits:Up to 5 items per vehicleScale charge for larger quantities.

Vegetation –Mulch & Compost*
Sussex County residents can hand load Regular Mulch and Compost for free!
(*The SCMUA will load Colorized Mulch & Compost for a nominal fee)
