Memorial Day 2006
Two servicemen who will be deployed overseas soon spoke at this
year's Memorial Day service. Commander Tim Jordan, brother of Sussex
American Legion member Marty Jordan, will be heading to Afghanistan
with his Navy Reserve unit. This is Jordan's 24th year serving our
Country ... eight active duty and 16 in the reserves.
Eric Dunn is one of four local young men who will be leaving for
Iraq in July. Dunn will be joined by another Wantage resident, Liam
Mathes, and two servicemen from Lafayette, Ryan Hughes and Alex
Ribu. All four are 2005 graduates of High Point Regional High School.
The four grew up together and will be shipping out together, serving
in Iraq in two different units.
