LUSSCROFT FARM VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

The Heritage and Agriculture Association Inc, in conjunction with the NJDEP Div. Parks and Forestry and High Point State Park, has undertaken the responsibility for the restoration of Lusscroft Farm, Wantage. Lusscroft farm was donated to the people of New Jersey by its owner, James Turner, in 1931.

H&AA has the establishment of a center for preserving and teaching the agricultural heritage and history of Sussex County as one of its missions. Extensive restoration is required to the buildings and grounds of Lusscroft farm in order to achieve this objective, and the Association is seeking the aid of the community.

From 9 a.m. to noon on April 5, 2008, H&AA members will be holding an open house for volunteers to sign up to help in this endeavor. Individuals (or companies) with building construction/renovation skills and willing to give three hours per month to help H&AA restore the buildings at Lusscroft farm are needed.

You are invited to visit Lusscroft Farm, Nielsen Road, Wantage on April 5th and survey the work required for this undertaking. If you have any questions or would like additional information please call H&AA president, Al Liland at 973-940-8855.
