WANTAGE RESIDENT ACT OF HEROISM TO BE RECOGNIZED AND HONORED

On October 6, 2007, a young man inadvertently drove a car into a pond of water during an automobile accident. Responding to the situation, a private citizen named Stephen Boyd took action to save the life of the driver.

The Mayor and Committee of the Township of Wantage believe that the action of Mr. Boyd was a selfless and courageous decision, and represents a heroic lifesaving measure.

Believing that such heroism is deserving of recognition and honor, the Mayor and Committee of the Township of Wantage presented Mr. Boyd with a Resolution of Honor at their meeting held on Thursday, November 8, 2007 at 8:00 p.m.
