TOWNSHIP OF WANTAGE ORDINANCE
NO. 2003-03
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP
OF WANTAGE AS ADOPTED ON FEBRUARY 8, 1996, SETTING THE 'SPEED LIMITS'
ON VARIOUS ROADS, IN THE TOWNSHIP OF WANTAGE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Township Committee of the Township
of Wantage I the County of Sussex that the Ordinance setting the “Speed
Limits” on various roads in the Township adopted on February 8,
1996, “Section1”, shall be amended to add the following:
Section 1. Speed Limit Along Rockport Road
35 MPH - For the entire length in both directions from its intersection
with Unionville Road (C.R. 651) to its intersection with Mount Salem
Road.
Section 2. Speed Limit Signs
Speed Limit Signs conforming to the current manual on Uniform Traffic
Control Devices for Streets and Highways shall be erected and maintained
to affect the above-designated speed limit.

NOTICE
NOTICE is given that this Ordinance was introduced and passed upon first
reading at a meeting of the Mayor and Township Committee of the Township
of Wantage, in the County of Sussex, New Jersey, held on February 27,
2003. It will be further considered for final passage with the proposed
ordinance after public hearing at a meeting of the Mayor and Township
Committee to be held in the Wantage Township Municipal Building, 888 Route
23, Wantage, New Jersey 07461, on March 27, 2003, at 8:00 o'clock P.M.,
and copies of the ordinance will be made available at the Clerk's office
in the Municipal Building to members of the general public.
