MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE MAYOR
AND COMMITTEE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF WANTAGE HELD DECEMBER 30, 2004
A special meeting of the Wantage Township Committee was held on
December 30, 2004, at the Wantage Municipal Building, 888 Route
23, Wantage, N. J. The meeting was called to order at 10:00 a.m.
Present: Mayor William DeBoer, Committee member Jeffrey Parrott,
Committee member Parker Space, Administrator/ Clerk James Doherty.
Absent: None.
Mayor DeBoer stated this meeting is held in compliance with the
requirements of the New Jersey Open Public Meetings Act and was
properly noticed and advertised. He led those in attendance in the
pledge of allegiance and salute to the flag.
Ordinance 2004-18 (Mountain View Drive)
With reference to proposed Ordinance 2004-18, entitled “AN
ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ACCEPTANCE OF MOUNTAIN VIEW DRIVE WITHIN
THE MOUNTAIN VIEW ESTATES DEVELOPMENT BY THE TOWNSHIP OF WANTAGE”,
Mr. Doherty explained that the developer had failed to submit necessary
bonds and deeds at this time. Mr. Doherty recommended against adopting
this proposed ordinance without the necessary bonds and deeds being
in place.
The governing body agreed to take no action on this matter, at this
time. In the absence of a motion or second to adopt, this Ordinance
failed.
BID AWARD: FIRE VEHICLE
Mr. Parrott moved to award a contract to KME Corporation, for the
purchase of one fire vehicle, in the amount of $299,985, as per
their bid submitted on December 29, 2004, in accordance with the
attached resolution. Mr. DeBoer seconded the motion. Upon roll call,
Ayes: DeBoer, Parrott, Space Nays: None Absent: None Abstain: None
FINANCIAL RESOLUTIONS
Mr. Space moved to approve the Budget Appropriation Transfer Resolution
dated December 30, 2004. Mr. Parrott seconded the motion. Upon roll
call, Ayes: DeBoer, Parrott, Space Nays: None. Absent: None Abstain:
None
Mr. Space moved to approve Payment of Bills dated December 30, 2004.
Mr. Parrott seconded the motion. Upon roll call,
Ayes: DeBoer, Parrott, Space Nays: None. Absent: None Abstain: None
OPEN PUBLIC SESSION
Mayor De Boer opened the meeting to the public at this time, for
any questions or comments involving the good and welfare of the
community.
There being no one present wishing to address the governing body
at this time, Mayor De Boer closed the meeting to the public and
the governing body returned to the regular order of business.
There being no further business to come before the governing body,
Mr. Space made a motion, seconded by Mr. Parrott, to adjourn the
meeting. A voice vote was unanimously in favor.
