MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE BOARD OF RECREATION COMMISSIONERS FOR THE TOWNSHIP OF WANTAGE, HELD AT THE WANTAGE TOWNSHIP MUNICIPAL BUILDING, ON SEPTEMBER 22, 2008.

CALL TO ORDER:

Board President Duane Armstrong called the meeting to order.

ROLL CALL:

Present: Jennifer Cary, Christine Feoranzo, Greg Williams, Duane Armstrong, Lorraine Card (Alternate # 1). Absent: Evelyn Baig, Elizabeth Nuss.

OPEN PUBLIC MEETING ACT COMPLIANCE

Mr. Armstrong stated, “This meeting is being held in compliance with the provisions of the Open Public meetings Act, Public laws of 1975 Chapter 231.
It has been properly advertised and certified”.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Mrs. Feoranzo made the motion to approve July 30, 2008 minutes. Mr. Armstrong seconded the motion. Ayes: Feoranzo, Cary, Williams, Armstrong. Nays: None. Absent: Baig, Nuss.

OLD BUSINESS

Veterans Memorial Field:
Discussion continued regarding the upcoming car show. The commission agreed that four additional porta pottys would be sufficient. Mrs. Schoen from the Builders Club at the Sussex Middle school agreed to have the children stuff the goodie bags at the Special Recreation meeting on October 2, 2008.

Mrs. Feoranzo made a motion to apply for a grant through the Arts and Heritage Council. The motion was seconded by Mrs. Cary. Ayes: Cary, Feoranzo, Williams, Armstrong. Nays: None. Absent: Baig, Nuss.

A motion was made by Mrs. Feoranzo and seconded by Mrs. Cary to adjourn.
