MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF RECREATION COMMISSIONERS FOR THE TOWNSHIP OF WANTAGE, HELD AT THE SUSSEX WANTAGE LIBRARY, 69 ROUTE 639 WANTAGE, N.J., ON OCTOBER 2, 2008 AT 7:30 P.M.

Call To Order:
Board President Duane Armstrong called the meeting to order.

Roll Call:
Present: Jennifer Cary, Christine Feoranzo, Greg Williams, Duane Armstrong, Lorraine Card (Alternate # 1).
Absent: Evelyn Baig, Elizabeth Nuss.

Open Public Meeting Act Compliance
Mr. Armstrong stated, “This meeting is being held in compliance with the provisions of the Open Public meetings Act, Public laws of 1975 Chapter 231.
It has been properly advertised and certified”.

Little League
Sussex Wantage Little League presented plans to the commission for dugouts they plan to build at Lott Road fields 1 & 2.

Mr. Williams made a motion to approve the ten foot by twenty foot dugouts at field 1&2, Mrs. Cary seconded the motion. Roll Call: Ayes: Cary, Feoranzo, Williams, Armstrong. Nays: None. Absent: Baig, Nuss.

Veterans Memorial
Discussion continued regarding the upcoming car show. Volunteers for the show assembled to receive their job assignments. Volunteers will meet at the park at 7:00 a.m.

As the Commission discussed the car show, the Builders Club from Sussex Middle School assembled the gift bags. Their help was greatly appreciated.

A motion was made by Mrs. Feoranzo and seconded by Mr. Williams to adjourn.
Ayes: Cary, Feoranzo, Williams, Armstrong. Nays: None. Absent: Baig, Nuss.
