NJ Lead Safe Certification
N.J.A.C.5:28A Lead-Based Paint Inspections in Rental Dwelling Units: This new law states that certain rental units in Wantage Township that were built before 1978 are required to have a visual inspection to assess for lead hazards. Inspections need to be completed or have an inspection scheduled by July 22, 2024. Property owners who fail to comply with the new inspection and certification requirements could receive fines of up to $1,000 per week.
