Consent agenda for the meeting of the Mayor and Committee of the Township of Wantage, held at the Municipal Building, 888 State Highway 23, Wantage, NJ at 7 PM on March 12, 2026.
All items listed below are considered routine in nature, and shall be considered for approval under one motion. Prior to roll call on approval of these items, the mayor shall open the meeting to the committee. If any member of the committee desires separate discussion and/or action on any item listed below, separate discussion and consideration.

Regular Meeting Agenda
Agenda for a meeting of the Mayor and Committee of the Township of Wantage, held at the Municipal Building, 888 Route 23, Wantage, New Jersey, at 7 PM on March 12, 2026.
Mayor VanderGroef will call the meeting to order; Clerk will call the roll.
Mayor VanderGroef will state, "This meeting is being held in compliance with the provisions of the Open Public Meetings Act, P.L. 1975, Ch. 231. It has been properly advertised and posted, and certified by the Clerk".
Mayor VanderGroef will invite all present to Salute the Flag.
Consent Agenda
At this time, The Mayor will request that the governing body Review the Consent Agenda. If any member of the governing body desires an item to be removed, the Township Clerk shall remove said item, which shall be considered separately, with the removal of PO #21959 for C&E Tires in the amount of $72.00.
A Motion is in order to approve PO#21959 for C&E Tires in the amount of $72.00.
A motion is in order to approve Resolution #65-2026 Child Abuse Prevention Month Proclamation

A Motion is in order to Introduce of the 2026 Wantage Township Municipal Budget.

Approval of Minutes
A motion is in order to approve the minutes of the Mayor and Committee Re-Org Meeting and Regular Meeting on February 26, 2026.
A motion is in order to approve the minutes of the Mayor and Committee Budget Meeting on March 5, 2026.
Ordinances
Ordinance #05-2026
A motion is in order to adopt Ordinance #05-2026, an Ordinance of the Township of Wantage, County of Sussex, State of New Jersey repealing and replacing Chapter 27 Affordable Housing of the revised general ordinances of the Township to repealing section 13-5.10 growth share ordinance to comply with the New Jersey Fair Housing Act and affordable housing obligations and repealing Chapter 27 affordable housing and adopting new Chapter 27 affordable housing.

A motion is in order to adopt Ordinance #06-2026, A motion is in order to adopt Ordinance #06-2026 an ordinance amending the revised general ordinances of the Township of Wantage, Chapter 13, Zoning, adding §13-24.24 Mandatory Set-Aside.

A motion is in order to adopt Ordinance #07-2026, an Ordinance amending the revised general ordinances of the Township of Wantage, Chapter 13, Zoning, §13-4B, §13-4C and §13-4D.

A motion is in order to adopt Ordinance #08-2026 an Ordinance appropriating the sum of $25,000.00 for improvements to the Township Building.

Ordinance #09-2026
A motion is in order to introduce Ordinance #09-2026, an Ordinance amending the revised general ordinances of the Township of Wantage, Chapter 13, Zoning, §13-4D.

The Mayor will open the meeting to the public at this time, for any questions or comments involving the good and welfare of the community. To help facilitate an orderly meeting and to permit the opportunity for anyone who wishes to be heard, please limit your comments to four minutes. Additional time may be granted, at the sole discretion of the Mayor and Committee. If you are reading from a prepared statement, or presenting a written document, please provide a copy to the Clerk’s office after making your comments, so it may be properly reflected in the minutes. After all persons have had an opportunity to address the governing body, the Mayor will close the meeting to the public and the Governing body will return to the regular order of business.
